Sky View Sponsors Boys’ Schools Cricket Week 2023

The national boy’s school cricket competition has received sponsorship worth 30 million Uganda shillings from Haris International to boost the competition and also help with other utilities needed by the different teams in order to hold healthy competitions.
The competition which attracts 16 schools from different regions will kick off on 26th August in Jinja city.
16 schools are set to battle it out for the top prize in this year’s edition of the boy’s schools cricket finals which will be held in Jinja city starting on the 26th of this month and ending on the 1st of September this year. The schools have been selected from all regions around the country including the northern region, central eastern, and western regions and the competition will run for a week.
Uganda cricket association development manager, Davis Turinawe says 52 schools have participated at lower region levels from which the finalists were selected from. This number Turinawe says has grown with time.
This year’s tournament has seen Haris International come in with a sponsorship of 30 million Uganda shillings under Skyview sponsorship. This according to Haris international public relations officer, Ishta Atukunda is meant to foster the growth of talent in the world of cricket. She said this tournament is used to select participants that will represent Uganda at the international level.
Among the participating schools are Kololo ss, Ntare School, and Teso College Aloet among many others.
