104-Year-Old Pioneer Shares Revival Journey

104-Year-Old Pioneer Shares Revival Journey

With just 4 days to the 90-year celebrations of the East African Revival, this historic movement continues to inspire faith and transform lives across the region.

Today, we hear from 104-year-old pioneer Muzey Zabuloni Kabaza, who recalls giving his life to Christ in 1936 as a young student at Mbarara High School and urges believers to journey to Kabale this August for the commemorative event that promises to rekindle the revival fire.

The East African Revival stands out as one of the most profound and far-reaching spiritual movements to ever sweep across the African continent. Born in the early 1930s within the Church of Uganda, this movement quickly spread to Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, and beyond, transforming lives, renewing the church, and deepening the personal faith of countless believers.

As we continue to explore the significance and impact of the revival on the region, today we sit down with one of its pioneers, Muzey Zabuloni Kabaza, now 104 years old. He shares how he gave his life to Christ in 1936, while still a young high school student at Mbarara High School.

Since accepting Jesus as his personal savior, Muzey Zabuloni has never turned back.

He encourages all who are able to make the journey to Kabale to attend this life-changing event. Muzey Zabuloni also took a moment to pray for everyone planning to be part of it.

The East African Revival, which is commemorated every ten years, will celebrate 90 years in 2025. This milestone event is scheduled to take place from the 20th to the 24th of August at the Convention Site in Kabale.

Held under the theme “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus” from Hebrews 12:2, the gathering will once again rekindle the flame that started decades ago and continues to shape the spiritual landscape of East Africa.
