Archbishop Kaziimba Arrives in Karamoja Diocese for Farewell Visit and Food Relief Distribution
The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, has this afternoon arrived in the Karamoja Diocese for his farewell visit and food relief distribution exercise.
Archbishop Kaziimba was received at the border of Napak and Kotido districts by the Bishop of the Karamoja Diocese, Rt. Rev. Michael Chorey, and Maama Jane Chorey, together with clergy and Christians.
He arrived from North Karamoja Diocese, where he had earlier flagged off an emergency food relief distribution exercise in response to the ongoing hunger crisis.
He was accompanied to Karamoja Diocese by a delegation from North Karamoja led by the Diocesan Bishop, the Rt Rev Simon Akol Aisu.
Tomorrow, Archbishop Kaziimba is expected to flag off another food distribution exercise in Moroto in partnership with the Rural Action Community Based Organisation (RACOBAO) and ACT Alliance.
He will thereafter lead Service at St Phillip’s Cathedral, Moroto, as part of his farewell visit to the Karamoja Diocese.
