4000 Residents At Lake Albert Shores Receive Free Mosquito Nets

Upon receiving the items, Annet Tumusiime an area resident says that the area is prone to malaria which has claimed lives but also resulted into miscarriages for expectant mothers. Janet Kusiima says that Malaria has drained their pockets.

JANET KUSIIMA - Resident ( our income is very low, you find having three, four or five children so when you say let me buy mosquito nets for every child you fail because of lack of money, even when you have a husband, some men have failed responsibilities that is how we are finding ourselves struggling with malaria)

Beneficiaries say they wrote to the organization requesting for help in the fight against malaria.

( Our NRM government has been distributing mosquito nets but what pains is that they take these nets to the lake for fishing therefore I urge those who have gotten nets today not to do so and we are ready to arrest whoever found using a mosquito net for fishing)

According to Think Humanity healthcare manager Pascal Mbajeste, their campaign is specifically aimed at eradicating malaria amongst expectant mothers, children under the age of five, and the elderly.
