Tension remains high in Lwesubo Village, Buwambo Parish, in Gombe Division, after residents and defeated LC1 chairperson candidates challenged the outcome of yesterday's village elections.
The losing side has accused election officials of presiding over a flawed exercise, petitioned police, and reportedly misled residents into believing that a fresh election would be held.
