81 Confirmed During A Thanksgiving And Confirmation Service At King's College Buddo.

The Rt Rev Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira Bishop of Namirembe diocese has today confirmed 81 students.
He encouraged confirmands to hold to the faith they have been confirmed in and also to desist from evil practices that can ruin their future.
This was today during a Thanksgiving and confirmation service held at Kings College Buddo.
It was immense joy and happiness as the school welcomed him for the very last time since he is to retire in December this year.
The Bishop of Namirembe Diocese has today laid hands on 81 confirmands at Kings College Budo. The Bishop is on his final visits around the Diocese as he looks forward to retirement come December 8th.
The Bishop noted that this is the time to give thanks to the Lord. He encouraged the newly confirmed students to stay firm in their faith.
In his remarks, Bishop Luwarila sincerely appreciated the school for serving him throughout the years. He also prayed for a peaceful transition while getting his successor.
Representing the chairman Board of governors, Katende Jimmy Rodgers noted that this was Bishop Luwalira's last visit to Kings College Budo. The Bishop according to the communication from the Chairman has a mandate to nominate representatives of the church on the board which he is yet to do.
Headteacher Kings College Buddo Kazibwe John Fred appreciated the Bishop’s cooperation with the school throughout his service. Kazibwe pledged continuous support in fulfillment of what the vision bearers for the mighty school had years back.
On behalf of the students, Kalule George Wilson the Head prefect appreciated the Bishop for always visiting, praying, supporting and loving the school.
It should be noted that the R.T. Rev Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira will retire on 8th December as he clocks 65 years of age which as per canons of the church of Uganda calls for retirement from the diocesan overseer seat.
