ADF Will Soon Be History – Maj. Gen. Dick Olum

Operation Shujja commander Major General Dick Olum has vowed to crash ADF completely, after spending over a year in the jungles of DRC fighting the rebel force ADF.

The operation runs together with the armed forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo has seen 548 rebels killed and over 9500 ammunition recovered. Operation Shujaa was sanctioned in November 2021 following twin bombings in Kampala that were carried out by the rebel group, the allied democratic forces, ADF.

 Over a year and a half down the road, 548 rebels have been killed, 50 captured and 31 rebels have surrendered to the joint forces. The Commander of the UPDF Mountain Division and Operation Shujaa, Major General Dick Olum says the operations of the ADF will soon be the talk of the past, saying the rebel group will soon be neutralized

So far, 9500 rounds of ammunition have been recovered. These are 151 including 142 submachine guns (SMG), 08 pieces of PMK Machine gun and 01 piece of 60 millimetres mortar. Also recovered are 111 military radios from the ADF, 45 radio charger ports and 10 batteries

The joint forces have also rescued 156 persons including women and children. The children, most of whom were in bad health conditions are currently receiving medical care from the various health facilities of the Uganda Peoples' Defense Forces.

Mountain Division And Operation Shujaa Maj. Gen OLum Olum says the operation is now in the third sector carried out in Mwalika valley. This valley has been occupied by the ADF for a long time. Many of these have been killed including their commander Moralo, Lubangakene among others.
