
Ankole Christians Urged To Give Thanks To God
At St. James Cathedral - Ruharo three worship services which were conducted were attended by Hundreds of Christians.
During the service Bishop Sheldon Mwesigwa also urged Christians in his diocese and other parts of the country to work hard in the new-year in order to improve their livelihood.
He also challenged leaders not to be corrupt and be concerned about the people they are leading. Bishop Mwesigwa also urged them to love each other.
Mwesigwa also informed Christians that his diocese has put a lot of efforts in projects aimed at improving their livelihoods and charged them to participate.
Minister of State for Agriculture In Charge of Animal Industry, Lt. Col. Dr. Bright Rwamirama challenged farmers to focus on value addition and increase food production in the country.
Rwamirama said this will help increase their household incomes and food for their home consumption.
Mbarara City Mayor Robert Kakyebezi, congratulated the people of Mbarara on reaching the New Year, but asked them to forget about the past and focus on development projects that can bring income in their homes.
