Uganda retirement benefits regulatory authority under its umbrella association, Africa Pension Supervisors Association has today launched its two days 4th annual APSA conference hosted in Uganda under the theme; SUSTAINING PENSION INCLUSIVENESS IN AFRICA.
Leaders note that as they embark on the pension inclusion campaign, it is prudent that all the pension supervisors leverage the various digital financial platforms and finance systems available to enhance social security inclusion.

The chairman UBRA board, Hon. Julius Bigirwa Junjura acknowledged that there is an urgent need to create a framework that favours all people across Africa as o way of embracing the inclusivity of pension.

Mr. Martin Nsubuga, the CEO of UBRA says that the purpose of this conference is to have all African countries gather to share ideas, insights but also find solutions to pension inclusion challenges in Africa.

Mr. Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan the African Development Bank country manager in Uganda says that as they embark on the pension inclusion campaign, it is prudent that all the pension supervisors leverage the various digital financial platforms and finance systems available to enhance social security inclusion.

UBRA CEO says that much as Uganda has registered a steady improvement in pension of atleast 16%, it is unfortunate that Africa is only at 15%, it is therefore because of this that countries come together to address the common challenges and way forward to improve performance.

APSA 4th annual conference has hosted a number of delegates from all stake holders like banks, insurance companies, civil society organisations among others.
