Archbishop Cautions Young Girls Against Abortion

The Arch-bishop of the church of Uganda His Grace Dr. Stephen Kazimba Mugalu has discouraged women who practice abortion which he says is against God's teaching.

He said this during the commissioning of a maternity ward and a theatre at Nyabugando Health Center III, A few Kilometers from the Mpondwe border in the Kasese district.

The archbishop of the church of Uganda his grace the most rev. dr. Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu has cautioned girls who engage in the practice of abortion to stop it because it is against the teachings of God.

The Archbishop also said that pregnant mothers need an environment that can enable them to deliver without difficulties.

He used this chance to call upon all the people in the country to fight corruption which he says hinders development in the communities.

He advised the Government to use the inter-religious council of Uganda in the fight against corruption. He adds that faithfulness is the only way the Government can escape tendencies of irregularities.

During his tour, His Grace visited seven acres of Cassava plantation which is under the South Rwenzori diocese, and encouraged church leaders to put the available church land to use if they're to avoid land grabbers.

The Bishop of South Rwenzori diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku urged parents to embrace the education of their children as the only way that put the Kasese district on the world map.

The Archbishop who has ended his tour commissioned many church projects under the South Rwenzori diocese and is expected to lead a mass at St. Paul's cathedral.
