Archbishop Kaziimba Arrives Safely in Cairo-Egypt for Global South Fellowship
The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, has arrived safely in Cairo-Egypt and the conference is beginning to take shape of Anglican Church Leaders.
This conference, hosted by The Most Rev. Dr. Samy Fawzy Shehata, Archbishop of the Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandria, and chaired by the Most Rev. Justin Badi, Archbishop of South Sudan is a spiritually significant gathering and a platform for dialogue and fellowship with Government and Religious Leaders in the region.
About the Global South Fellowship: The Global South Fellowship is a consortium of Anglican Provinces and Dioceses primarily located in the southern hemisphere, mainly; Africa, Asia, and parts of South America.
The Fellowship emphasizes the authority of the Bible as the inspired and accurate Word of God, with a commitment to the supremacy of Scripture as the ultimate source of authority in matters of faith and practice.
It also adheres to orthodox Christian doctrines, including the Nicene Creed and the Apostles' Creed, affirming the divinity of Jesus Christ and the doctrine of the Trinity.
The Fellowship upholds the traditional understanding of marriage as a lifelong union between one man and one woman, opposing same-sex marriage and LGBTQ+ practices.
It places a strong emphasis on mission and evangelism, with a mission to spread the Christian faith and make disciples of all nations.
