Archbishop Kaziimba Graces Mildmay Graduation
The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu has urged graduates to uphold integrity, compassion, and accountability as they step into the professional world.
He made the remarks while presiding over the 8th graduation ceremony at Mildmay Institute of Health Sciences, where 376 students were awarded certificates and degrees.
The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, graced the 8th graduation ceremony of 376 students at Mildmay Institute of Health Sciences as the Chief Guest.
The archbishop was taken on a tour around the institution, where he visited an exhibition showcasing students’ innovations.
In her welcoming remarks, Edith Akankwasa, the Principal of Mildmay Institute of Health Sciences, highlighted the institution’s vision and the milestones achieved over the years.
Dr. George William Semivule, Chairperson of the Governing Council, noted that today’s job market demands more than classroom knowledge, it requires creativity and adaptability to keep pace with an ever-evolving world. He expressed confidence that the graduates have been shaped for this challenge.
The Executive Director of Mildmay Uganda, Yvonne Karamagi, shared a brief about the institution and urged the graduates to put into practice the knowledge and skills they have acquired.
Despite the many challenges in the job market, the Chancellor of Mildmay Institute of Health Sciences, Prof. Rev. Dr. Sam Abimelech Luboga, advised the graduates to remain purposeful and committed, emphasizing that they have been well-prepared for the world ahead.
In his keynote address, the Chief Guest, His Grace Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, encouraged the graduates to step out as future leaders in science — leading with integrity, compassion, and accountability, values he said are essential for national transformation.
