Banking Literacy Is A Necessity - COU Archbishop

Preaching during the bankers’ day thanksgiving service at All Saints Cathedral, Kampala, the Archbishop of COU, His Grace the Most Rev. Samuel Stephen Kazimba-Mugalu emphasized the need for banking literacy.
He also urged Christians to use their potential to serve God, for He is a God of profit and progress. This message of the day was based on the reading from Matthew 25:14-28, guided by the theme, “Giving as an act of service”.
While speaking at the thanksgiving service for bankers at All Saints Cathedral today, Archbishop of COU, His Grace the Most Rev. Samuel Stephen Kazimba-Mugalu advocated for the need for bankers to educate their customers on the services offered, as a way of enhancing development in society.
He also called on bankers to find ways to handle issues like cyber security, economic inflation, and lack of electricity.
With reference to the parable of the talents, in the gospel of Matthew 25:14-28, the Archbishop of COU, His grace the Most Rev. Samuel Stephen Kazimba-Mugalu said that as Christians, we should endeavour to multiply our God-given talents.
The Archbishop emphasized giving, which he said is serving God.
The archbishop condemned laziness, reminding Christians to live action-based lives.
