Belated NRM Anniversary Celebrations In Kagadi

The Minister of State for Kampala and Metropolitan Affairs, Kyofatogabye Kabuye has advised the people of Bunyoro to shun divisionism and land fragmentation. He also asked them to embrace government programs geared towards boosting household incomes.

The Hon. Kabuye, made the remarks while representing the Minister for the Presidency Milly Babirye Babalanda during the belated 37th NRM/NRA celebrations at Muhorro Kagadi district.

The Minister of State for Kampala and Metropolitan Affairs, Kyofatogabye Kabuye, while speaking in Kagadi district, advised the people against engaging in land fragmentation, noting that it will render their land less productive. The minister also appealed to the people to embrace government programs such as Emyooga, which is targeted at improving household incomes.

Denis Namara Bindeba, one of Uganda’s representatives in the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), asked the Government to construct the Muhorro-Ndaiga-Lake Albert road which connects Bunyoro to DRC, to enable people to sell agricultural products like maize, beans, and other foodstuffs in the ready DRC market.

Owobusobozi Bisaka, the leader of the Faith of Unity Church asked the government to elevate the Kapyemi church headquarters to a healing city status and have the book of unity made part of the school curriculum to be taught in schools and higher institutions of learning.

The belated NRM Anniversary celebrations in Kagadi were punctuated by entertainments from Faith of Unity believers, the UPDF, Police, and Prisons band, and school children who presented NRM songs as they marched on the streets of Muhorro town.
