Besigye Urges FDC Leaders To Create Transitional Leadership For The Party
The former presidential candidate also a former military officer in the Uganda People's Defense Force Dr. Kizza Besigye, today held the elder’s committee special meeting which revealed the factual results of the former national council meeting report which was held at Najjanankumbi and chaired by the national chairman Wasswa Birigwa.
He has however requested all the national council committee leaders and the executive leaders of the FDC party to set a meeting to be able to liberate the party.
FDC party leaders and members of parliament who belong to the party from different districts in Uganda attended the 16th national council meeting on the 28th of July this year to come up with resolutions for their party after allegations of some members receiving money from NRM party to assist them in the 2021 general elections.
Dr. Kizza Besigye says that as elders of the party, they made an analysis to establish the facts that could help to unveil the truth relating to the dirty money as shown in their terms of reference.
Hey says the national council leaders had planned to interview relevant FDC leaders and some experts and wrote the report.

They have called upon the national council committee to sit at least once before the envisaged national delegates conference to take corrective measures that are necessary for the party to function normally in the way that affords all members to participate in its process.
