Bishop Emeritus Joel Obetia Urges Christians To Always Participate In Church Activities

Bishop Emeritus of Madi West Nile Diocese Rt Rev. Dr Joel Obetia has urged Christians to always participate in different church activities.
Bishop Obetia made the remarks during the celebration of St Peters day at St Peter's Church of Uganda Wandegeya where he also confirmed several Christians into the Anglican Faith.
Presiding over St Peters Day at St Peters Church of Uganda Wandegeya, Bishop emeritus of Madi West Nile Diocese Rt Rev. Dr Joel Obetia has urged Christians to always participate in different church activities as they only channel to benefit the development of the church and also to tap into Gold’s blessings.
He criticized the common practice, particularly among men, of sending their families to church while not attending themselves.
He also encouraged Christians to dedicate themselves to wholeheartedly serving the one true God and avoid conflating God with other gods.
Rev. Moses Nyombi the Priest in Charge of St Peters Church of Uganda Wandegeya speaking to a Journalist explained why they have decided to celebrate St Peters Day today.
Jason Mugyizi, the Head of Laity at St Peters Church of Uganda Wandegeya, emphasized the significance of prayers in the lives of Christians, as it is the means through which God responds to the requests of His people.
He pointed out the neglect of parental duties, specifically in the context of family prayer, stressing the need for parents to reestablish this practice.
