Bishop Odongo Forbids Politics In Church

The Bishop of Soroti Diocese, Rt. Rev. Kosea Odongo has banned politicians from taking advantage of church ceremonies to campaign for themselves.

Bishop Odongo made the pronouncement during the confirmation and blessing of the mass wedding of ten couples at Acanga Primary School in Ngraiam County, Katakwi district.

During an interview with COU family TV, Rt Rev, Kosea Odongo the bishop of Soroti diocese noted that if politicians are allowed to use the church ceremonies for campaigns it will ignite divisions amongst the Christians yet the church houses persons from all different parties in the country.

Though bishop Odongo cleared that his stand does not mean that he hates politicians but he is doing what is morally correct as required by the Biblical standards.

Bishop Odongo gave his stand over PDM money saying there is no free money and that all persons who have borrowed PDM money must pay it back by all means to enable the government to extend wealth creation to all Ugandans

He also warned land grabbers to desist from the act because if they continue taking away other people's land they will attract curses to themselves and the next generations.

Bishop Odongo encouraged those who were confirmed to live a holy life.
