It was unmatched happiness today at Kololo Independence Grounds as Rt Rev Onesmas Asiimwe of North Kigezi Diocese was welcomed by Christians who hail from North Kigezi in Kampala. The day attracted hundreds of Christians as they witnessed the Bishop on his maiden visit to Kampala.

Bishop Asiimwe preached hope to these Christians as he also revealed that thousands of Christians have been saved through his ministry. The Bishop also reveals that he is passionate about agricultural development in the North Ankole Diocese.

With a lot of excitement, today Christians of North Kigezi Diocese living in Kampala gathered at Kololo independence grounds to welcome Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe, his wife and all Archdeacons.

Bishop Onesmas notes that there are thousands of people in the Diocese who have so far been confirmed, converted and saved ever since he became Bishop and he gives glory to God.

The Bishop added that among the core things he is emphasizing is agriculture development. He encourages the people of North Kigezi to engage in planting coffee which will give them many returns shortly.

The event attracted several dignitaries among whom was Hon Jim Muhwezi the Minister for National Security who applauded Bishop Onesimus for the development agenda which supports government initiatives.
