Bunyoro-Tooro Muslim Community Calls For President Museveni’s Support In Construction Projects

The Muslim community in Bunyoro and Tooro sub-regions has requested President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to support them with 800 million shillings for the completion of the regional complex headquarters project.

The construction of a two-storied regional complex headquarter intended to boost service delivery is now at level one.

The construction of a 2.5 billion shillings two-storied regional complex headquarters for Bunyoro-Tooro regional Muslim is underway at Bwikya hill in Hoima City on land that belongs to Bunyoro Muslim district.

The regional secretary Eid Magezi, and the member of the general assembly Yunus Mugabe, now want President Museveni to extend financial support.

According to these leaders, once completed the building will accommodate the regional Khadi’s office, Bunyoro Muslim district’s main mosque, a research and information center, and other things.

In response, Kikuube resident district Commissioner Amlan Tumusiime promised to submit their request to the President.

The construction which has so far taken 660 million shillings stands at a 40% completion rate.
