
Celebrating the Life of St. Janani Luwum on 16th February
Ugandans and the international community will celebrate the life of St. Janani Luwum, the 2nd Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Boga-Zaire on Wednesday 16th February 2022.
This day will mark 45 years since Janani Luwum was brutally murdered under the Military Government of General Idi Amin Dada.
Addressing the press, Minister of State for Ethics and Integrity, Hon. Akello Rose Lilly said the main commemoration service will be celebrated at Kololo Independence Grounds while another will be held at Wii Gweng, Mucwini, Kitgum District.
The Archbishop, The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Kazimba Mugalu will be the main celebrant while The Guest of Honor will be His Excellency General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda.
