Deputy RCC Burora halts PDM program in Lubaga Division
While addressing journalists today at his office in Lubaga, Deputy RCC Anderson Burora said that Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) which is the body that is registering and verifying beneficiaries has failed on the job because the people on the list are not the one meant to receive the money.
Burora adds that 195 people were supposed to benefit from PDM in Lubaga Division but surprisingly 489 people are seen on the list, stressed the need for an expedited investigation into the matter.
The tough talking Burora confessed to submitting names of some officials handling the program to police for investigation.
Burora says that even Community Driven Development (CDD) and NAADS programs have also been halted.
The Parish Development Model (PDM), was launched by President Museveni with an aim to lift 17.5 million Ugandans in 3.5 million households out of poverty through the total transformation of the subsistence households into the money economy.
