DOWA Holds A Successful Youths And Students' Convention 2024

Diocese of West Ankole (DOWA) has today ended the Four days 15th Annual Youths and Students' Convention that started on 4th this month.

Held at Bweranyangi Convention grounds, under the theme "Conforming to the truth of the word not the Patterns of the World", the convention attracted over 4500 youth from all corners of DOWA and outside the Diocese.

Characterized with seasoned speakers that include; the Host Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni and Maama Joy, Bishop of Northern Uganda Rt Rev Godfrey Loum as main speaker, Rev Bernard Mushabe, Rev Dr Lydia Kitayimbwa, Rev Edson Ampeire, Rev. Esmond Serunjoji, Rev Daniel Byamukama, Rev Richard Rukundo,Mrs Margaret Opol and experienced workshop facilitators.

Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni thanked the organising committee, Speakers, workshop facilitators, lay readers, priests, Archdeacons for mobilizing, and taking part in this successful event.
He equally thanked parents who supported and sent their children to take part in this annual event.

The convention also attracted Youth from Karamoja who initiated a relationship between the Diocese of West Ankole and Diocese of Karamoja.
