Emeritus Bishop Kisembo Weds Florence
Emeritus Bishop of Ruwenzori Diocese Rt. Rev. Benezeri Kisembo Araari has today tied the knot with Florence Kisembo at St. John’s cathedral Fort Portal.
The Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Reuben Kisembo Amooti and the Emeritus Bishop Geoffrey Rwabusisi presided over the service.
‘’I take you Florence to be my wife, to live with you and to be my wife until death do us a part.’’
Emeritus Bishop Benezeri Kisembo Araari was concreted Bishop of Rwenzori Diocese in 1999 until he retired in 2009.
He was later appointed the caretaker Bishop of the same Diocese, following the death of Bishop Patrick Kyaligonza.
‘’All bishops in the country know about this and they sent me to tell you congratulations.’’
Emeritus Bishop Rwobusisi who gave the sermon used the opportunity to call for perseverance in every situation saying couples should ask for God’s intervention when faced with challenges.
’Time comes and you feel like you afraid, go back to God and tell him you want to move with him in your journey, the person who got saved will always pass through all challenges.’’
He expressed his displeasure at what he termed as tribal conflicts that have prevailed in the church today.
‘’Church leaders are busy fighting along ethnic lines, they are jealousy where their fellows get promoted, in Bufumbira they have failed to get a Bishop because of that.’’
Bishop Benezeri Kisembo’s first wife Rev. Canon. Lovey Kisembo died in 2021.
