Enanga Asks Public To Cooperate With Police On Investigations
Uganda Police Spokesperson Senior Commissioner of Police Fred Enanga is urging the public to work with the police in investigations of cases meant to fight crime.
Defilement is top on the list of cases that have recently been recorded by the Uganda Police Force, an act that Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga says has continued because the public is reluctant in providing information regarding such cases which have made it difficult for police to carry out thorough investigations.
With increasing road threats from unscrupulous individuals targeting motorists on major highways, Enanga says motorists should skillfully be on alert in the midst of such trials.
On a recent video that made rounds on social media of a father battering his female child, the police mouthpiece condemned the act but also cautioned parents to desist from harsh ways of disciplining children.
In regard to theft, it was also realized that in the majority of the cases recorded thieves were using camouflage number plates which have made it quite difficult to efficiently trace offenders.
Seventeen thousand six hundred ninety-eight domestic violence cases and sixty-one thousand five hundred eight theft cases were recorded in the year 2022 according to the Annual Crime report.
