Farmers urged to utilize the rainy season
Uganda National Meteorological Authority (UNMA) Officials have advised farmers to make use of the expected good rains to enhance food production.
State Minister of Water, and Woman Member of Parliament for Kalungu, Ms Aisha Sekindi, says there is an increased likelihood of near normal to above normal rainfall over several parts of the country.
Speaking at the release of the March to May seasonal rainfall outlook over Uganda, Ms Sekindi advised farmers to practice water harvesting for micro-irrigation for use during the dry spell and stock veterinary drugs against waterborne diseases.
