FDC New NEC Leaders In Fit State To Take On Party Duties

FDC New NEC Leaders In Fit State To Take On Party Duties

The FDC party has trained its new NEC top leaders intending to find common ground for handling conflicts within their party and also to come up with resolutions and keep unity in the party the leaders also plan to use this strategy to resuscitate its members who had left the party.

This comes after the party has been faced with so many challenges over time which led to the downfall and separation of its members.

For almost a year the Forum for Democratic Change has battled division issues within the party that saw elections of their national executive committee delayed for the first quota of the year. Elections however eventually took place in September and last week the FDC party carried out a training for all the new NEC leaders where they were taught the matters of conflict resolutions mostly within the party.

They are planning to restore the party through reaching out to the willing members of Katonga which includes the group that segregated themselves away from the main party to reconcile and reunite again.

Mr. John Kikonyogo, FDC's deputy spokesperson noted that the training is for all leaders in the party to be equipped with skills during their reign. He also urged the FDC members of Katonga to avoid using the party’s symbol illegally before precautions, occur.

He adds that as a party they haven’t yet signed a memorandum of understanding with the Katonga group in terms of the plans ahead of the 2026 elections.

The members of FDC who had earlier contributed to the marriage union of the king of Busoga slated for this month wished Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV a fruitful marriage.
