Gov’t Seeks 300m Euros To Develop Kabaale Industrial Park
This was revealed by Proscovia Nabanja, the Executive Director of the Uganda National Oil Company UNOC during a monitoring visit on the ongoing oil and gas development activities in Hoima and Kikuube districts.
According to Nabanja, this matter is still being discussed at Cabinet level and a decision will be made as soon as possible.
She says they have got two companies as best evaluated bidders for the Development of the Industrial Park.
Eng. Fred Kayima from the Ministry Of Works says the construction of Kabaale International Airport which is within Kabaale Industrial Area is at its final stage but the Control Tower will be constructed later in phases.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Dr. Ruth Nankabirwa Ssentamu, noteS that the industrial area will have enabling infrastructure such as roads, water, electricity and ICT for the oil refinery, international airport and other projects.
