Government Introduces Emergency and Accidents Care Curriculum for Medics

The Ministry of Education and Sports in partnership with the department of emergency and ambulance Ministry of Health and the Allied Health Professionals Council has developed an emergency and accident care curriculum for health training institutions.

Commissioner for Health Education and Training Institutions Dr Safinah Kisu Museene, says the curriculum is intended to help health workers to manage emergency and accident survivors’ from the scenes of accidents.

She notes that most times victims are never able to make it to a nearby hospital because of a lack of guiding policies, which sometimes results in loss of life.
