Hariss International Opens Plant in Tula

Hariss International has today opened a manufacturing and distribution plant for their products at Tula. The plant also has a certified testing laboratory for manufactured products.

The Vice President of Uganda, H. E Jessica Alupo on behalf of the President graced the event and applauded Hariss International for their dedication and contribution in boosting the industrial Sector of the country.

Vice President Jessica Alupo has today officiated the opening of a new factory, a subsidiary of Hariss International Limited, one of the prominent beverage companies in Uganda. This plant was enacted in Kawempe, Tula and will contribute to the economic development of the country. The government through the finance ministry last month emphasized the need for an increase in investments and such ventures are highly encouraged in a bid to fulfil this goal.

Her Excellency Jessica Alupo applauded the management of the beverage for the completion of this great project and extended the government’s willingness to support them, where need be.

The occupational Health and Safety, environment manager, Harris international limited, Nicholas Opule, recounted the waste management initiatives they have put in place to ensure environmental safety and sustainability.

Opule explained why they import plastics other than recycling home recyclable products.
