His Grace The Archbishop COU Lays Hands On 106 International Students At All Saints Cathedral

Luke Alinaitwe

The Archbishop of the church of Uganda, The Most Rev Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu has today at All Saints Cathedral Kampala confirmed 106 international students in the Anglican faith. Much as some of the confirmands are on holiday, some of them traveled into the country for this honorable ceremony.

The Archbishop in his message appealed to the newly confirmed Christians to distance themselves from wrong teachings sighting that false preachers are on a wash lately.

A number of international students under the Anglican faith have been studying online confirmation classes which were recently concluded and today the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda laid hands on them and confirmed them in the Anglican faith at All Saints Cathedral.

The Archbishop appreciated the children’s Godparents for leading the children up to the stage of confirmation and encouraged the biological parents/guardians to continue taking care of them since they still need grooming.

According to the Archbishop, these days there are many teachings but not every teaching is right. He advised confirmands to always neglect false teachers since they are to mislead them.

The Archbishop called upon all Christians to work and fellowship together in order to grow better in society.

Rev Capt Florence Aliganyira in the Office of Initiation and Discipleship, All Saints Cathedral, who has been at the core of teaching the students noted that they have taught them very well to be rooted to Christ and the church. She called upon parents to bring children for confirmation classes noting that registration for a new class is to start soon.

Rev Florence appealed to parents to spare some time to spend with their children because a lot is going on and they need guidance.
