IRCU urges Ugandans to maintain peace and harmony in their families and societies

The Inter-Religious Council of Uganda has urged Ugandans to maintain peace and harmony in their families and societies as well as protect themselves against the Ebola Virus Disease during this Christmas Season.

While addressing journalists at the Inter-Religious Council Of Uganda headquarters, the Archbishop of the Church Of Uganda, The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Kazimba Mugalu sympathized with those who lost their loved ones, those who are unwell for different reasons and those in camps due to war and natural disasters.

He also congratulated religious leaders who recently rose to positions of power.

The Archbishop called upon the public to focus on solving issues that bother young people like abduction, political unrest and conflicts among others.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, Dr Muhammad Lubega Kisambira encouraged Ugandans to follow traffic rules and regulations in order to avoid accidents in this season.

Apostle Dr. Joseph Serwadda, the leader of Pentecostal churches in Uganda encouraged Ugandans to desist from attacking security operatives in times of misunderstandings but rather report their issues to police for clarification.
