Kagadi councilors oppose Buliisa’s breakaway from Bunyoro

Kagadi Councilors have joined their counterparts in entire Bunyoro districts to oppose the breakaway of Bulisa from Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom.

A section of leaders in Kagadi district have demanded for an explanation from Buliisa district officials to ascertain reasons for proposed break away.

In an extra-ordinary council meeting convened by the Kagadi district speaker Magezi Muwonge at Muhorro Town Council main Hall in Kagadi district today, a rejection motion has been moved by the Kagadi district Vice C-man LC5 & leader of council business Engineer Peter Sebugwawo Councilors unanimously resolved to oppose the breakaway of Buliisa District from Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom.

However, some councilors said the want to know reasons why Bulisa wants secession from the Kingdom.

Francis Mugerwa, the Kingdoms Communications Manager and his colleague Zacheus Mwetegya, the Coordinator who represented the Bunyoro Kingdom premier Andrew Byakutaga highlighted on issues of the kingdom as the oldest in Africa and said some section of Buliisa officials do not support the secession of Bulisa from Bunyoro Kitara kingdom.
