Kampala Minister Calls For Patience As They Work On Road Rehabilitation
The Minister for Kampala Capital City, Hon. Minsa Kabanda has called for patience and cooperation between citizens and authority, as they work on road rehabilitation.
She assured the public that the activities are not because of the expected foreign visits for national events but rather for the country’s development.
This was while she addressed the Press at media center on Up scaling Kampala City Infrastructure and fiscal planning public health.
KCCA has continued to work towards a modern clean city for the wellbeing of citizens and to boost the aesthetics of the country, the most recent being the conduct of road rehabilitations and repairs.
The Minister for Kampala Capital City, Hon. Minsa Kabanda brought to the public’s awareness the roads they are currently working on.
With the current road works that have interrupted traffic flow and movements across the country especially around Kampala city, minister Kabanda called for patience with the authorities as they work to uphold the country’s reputable image.
She also ensured a disclaimer on the rumors that surrounds the public, about the road works being enforced now because of the upcoming national events, including the G77+ summit, that they say is intended to wow the visiting foreigners instead of actually developing the country.
Following continuous threats to charge incompliant citizens, minister said this time they have put in place measures to aid KCCA’s endeavors in implementing the need for a clean community.
“we have an extra force(IRU)….crying”.
Kabanda went on to advocate for compliance in proper maintenance, while she announce the start of door to door inspection expected to commence in early December, this year.
“Cleanliness…..city”.
