Kanungu Youth Tipped To Embrace Technical Education In Fighting Un Employment
The youth in Kanungu District have been tipped to embrace technical education to fight unemployment, the call was made by the District education officer Sunday Charles in his engagement with students and parents of Nyakatare Technical School in Kanungu District.
According to Kanungu District education officer Sunday Charles, Uganda is facing a lot of unemployment and technical education is one of the major solutions to fight this threat if the country is to prosper. He urged the youth to engage more in acquiring technical skills because it’s the way to go in this competitive world.
The mayor of Kanungu Town Council who officiated the meeting also added his voice thanking the government for promoting and equipping technical education he urged the youth to use this opportunity to tap into the job market because the country today needs skilful people.
Both students and teachers of Nyakatare showed their gratitude towards technical education adding that they don’t regret acquiring these skills and they hope for the best.
