Korean Ambassador Calls For Friendly Business Environment To Boost Uganda’s EconomyThe Korean ambassador to Uganda has challenged the government of Uganda to foster a more trade and investmen

The Korean ambassador to Uganda has challenged the government of Uganda to foster a more trade and investment-friendly business environment to boost economic development in the country.

Sung Soo Park said this during the 2023 Korea-Uganda development partnership Forum held at Mountains of the Moon Hotel in Fort Portal Tourism City.

During the 2023 korea-uganda development partnership forum in Fort Portal, the Korean ambassador to Uganda Sung Soo, noted that Uganda is one of the priority countries South Korea is partnering with in different areas of development.

The South Korean ambassador however says the government should foster a more trade and investment-friendly business environment so that the country’s economy is boosted. Mr. Park says this can be done by signing the investment protection agreements.

The forum came at a time when Uganda and Korea were celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

According to Park, Uganda is Korea’s longtime friend that shares co-values and core cooperation in foreign policy.

Mr. Park also says his government has successfully implemented a number of projects through the three pillars which include rural education, education, and health with Uganda’s Central and Local governments.

Rwabuhinga Richard Abooki, the Kabarole district chairperson who also doubles as the Uganda Local Government Association President praised the Korean government for the number of programs that have been implemented in the Kabarole district.

Rwabuhinga says many people in the district have been supported with livestock, sewing machines, and adult literacy among many others.

The district chairperson called for more efforts to be put into skilling the youth by the Korean government so that they can have more practical results.
