Kyambogo VC clears air on graduation list
The management of Kyambogo University has clarified that investigations are ongoing about the students who were agitating for not appearing on the graduation list citing that some of them had retakes among other issues.
This was addressed by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Katunguka Rwakishaya at a press conference held at the University premises this afternoon.
Following an uproar from some of the students at Kyambogo University claiming to have missed out on the graduation list, the university vice chancellor, Prof. Katunguka Rwakishaya wile briefing the media ahead of the 18th graduation ceremony, says that many of these students were engaged but unfortunately, 30 of them had retakes while 8 had alternate marks and the issue is under investigation.
c says that all students who had not completed the university requirements for graduation by 21st of November, his or her name won't appear on the graduation list.
He whoever says that if the university finds out that it was an error for the students to miss out on the list, the students will be given their transcripts
Kyambogo University is to hold its graduation on the 7th-9th of this month and according to Prof Katunguka Rwakishaya, all students from its learning centers are to physically attend.
Following the recent presidential directives on Covid19, parents and graduands have been advised to carry their covid19 vaccination certificates and also follow the standard operating procedures as they access the university premises
Over twelve thousand and eighty students are to graduate for PHDS, Degrees, Diplomas and certificates.
The Minister of state for Higher Education John Crisostomo Muyingo will represent the Minister of Education and Sports Janet Kataha Museveni as Chief Guest.
