Leadership Is Not A Right But A Privilege You Must Earn, Rotarians Told
The Rotary Club of Sunrise-Kampala has installed a new leader, its 18th President, Rotarian Wilson Kibuuka Bbosa.
Past District Governor, Stephen Mwanje, who officiated at the installation ceremony advised the newly installed president to be a leader of integrity and truly serve above self.
The Rotary Club of Sunrise-Kampala also inducted five new members during the Presidential installation ceremony held in Kampala.
The Rotary Club of Sunrise-Kampala was chartered 17 years ago in 2006.
Rotarian Wilson Kibuuka Bbosa will serve as the 18th President of the Club, succeeding Past President Maria Sekamatte. Past District Governor, Stephen Mwanje, officiated at the presidential installation ceremony as the chief guest.
He applauded members of the Rotary Club of Sunrise-Kampala for the tremendous work over the years since the Club was chartered in 2006. He also advised the new club president to be in charge of his emotions as he goes about his duties.
Nicknamed the hopeful president by members, the newly installed president, Rtn Wilson Kibuuka Bbosa, pledged to adopt a village in Luwero District as one of his first projects. Bbosa also promised to continue with the projects that were initiated by the previous presidents.
The past president, Maria Sekamatte passed on the mantle to Rtn. Wilson Kibuuka Bbosa. She expressed gratitude for being given the opportunity to serve as president and also applauded previous presidents who helped her during her term of office. Rotarian Christine Luutu, the Assistant Club Governor of the Rotary District 9213, Rotary is a club that puts a smile on the face of community members.
There was excitement and joy as the Rotary Club of Sunrise-Kampala inducted five new members who could not hide their excitement about joining the club.
