Men’s Prayer Conference at All Saints Cathedral Kampala Sparks Renewal and Reconnection

The 6th Men’s Prayer Conference at All Saints Cathedral Kampala entered its second day today, drawing men from all corners of Uganda to come together in prayer, spiritual renewal, and purpose. Organized annually by the cathedral, the conference runs until August 10, 2025, under the powerful theme “Reboot,” inspired by Ephesians 4:22-24.

This year’s gathering features Archbishop Henry Luke Orombi as the keynote speaker. In his inspiring sermons, Rt. Rev. Orombi emphasized the importance of men recognizing their divine calling as partners in creation—highlighting that God chooses men to transform communities, not angels.

Opening the day's proceedings, The Very Rev. Canon Dr. Rebecca Nyegenye, Provost of All Saints Cathedral Kampala, warmly welcomed the participants and introduced Archbishop Orombi. The Archbishop reflected deeply on the need for men to reboot—reassessing their roles and responsibilities in society and faith.

He shared insights on why many men feel they have lost their authority since creation, cautioning against the misuse of gifts, particularly those possessed by women, such as speech and a love for beauty. Citing biblical examples like Adam and Eve, and Samson and Delilah, Orombi warned that misusing these gifts could lead men astray.

Archbishop Orombi urged men to accept their faults and take proactive steps to change. “God is seeking partners in creation,” he emphasized, reminding men of their crucial role in community and spiritual leadership. These messages aim to inspire attendees to stand firm in faith, reclaim their authority, and embrace personal responsibility to avoid falling into sin or blaming others, including God.

The conference’s core mission is to sharpen, remind, rebuild, and equip men to fulfill their roles within the church, family, community, and nation. Enjoying vibrant activities and sessions, the gathering underscores a planned effort for men to reboot and renew their purpose both spiritually and socially.

Organized with gratitude towards the leadership of All Saints Cathedral, the conference continues to be a significant platform for fostering faith-based transformation among Ugandan men, urging them to lead with integrity, purpose, and renewed strength.
