Minister Bahati Pledges Support For Britannia Amid Certification Challenges

Minister of State for Industry, Hon David Bahati, assured Britannia Factory in Ntinda of government support during his visit earlier today.

The CEO Britannia highlighted challenges, including delayed product certification by UNBS and unfair competition from unregulated products.

Minister Bahati, acknowledging these challenges, pledged government support, affirming a collaborative effort to propel Britannia's production endeavours forward.

Today, the State Minister for Industry, Hon David Bahati, paid a courtesy visit to Britannia Factory in Ntinda to examine their state-of-the-art production facilities, hear about their plans for enhanced output, and address any concerns they may have that require Government attention

The Minister noted that the government is focusing on growing the private sector by creating a favourable environment like tax Holidays.

Abdulati Mohamed Algallta the Chief Executive Officer of Britannia Factory cried the increasing substandard products which are causing unfair competition with their products

In his response to the competition with poor quality products, Bahati emphasized that there is completely no room for substandard products.

The Quality Insurance Manager at Britannia Factory, Mariam Mugamba called for the government's support since the factory is bringing about development in the community.
