Minister: Land Fragmentation Affects Agriculture Resilience
The State Minister for Agriculture, Fred Bwino Kyakulaga has noted that land fragmentation remains a big challenge to the ministry’s effort to boost production and create resilience in the sector.
The minister advised the community against dividing their land into segments because it is not sustainable as he appealed to people owning small pieces of land to engage in intensive agriculture.
The Hon. Kyakulaga was speaking ahead of the opening of the 2023 ASARECA Agriculture Ministerial Conference slated to run from 17th to 19th May 2023 in Kampala under the theme: “Building Resilient Food Systems to Feed Africa for Generations.”
