
Mothers Challenged To Exercise Love And Unity In Serving God
Mothers Union members in the diocese of Kampala have today held a women’s convention at St. Luke Church of Uganda in Ntinda, based on the theme, ‘’United for service and growth.’’
The Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Kampala The Right Reverend Hannington Mutebi rallied the mothers to work together in unity, to serve the lord, and also live in one body with Christ.
During the Diocese of Kampala’s annual women’s convention at St Luke COU Ntinda, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Hannington Mutebi called upon all mothers to work together in unity so as to grow as one in Christ.
Quoting from the book of Ephesians chapter 4:1-3, the Bishop advised all women to always be humble, love one another, and have a spirit of patience.
In his sermon, Bishop Mutebi urged all leaders to train people on how to minister and avoid being selfish.
The President of the Mothers Union Christian Women’s Fellowship in the Diocese of Kampala, Elizabeth Carolyn Kikoyo explain the meaning of the theme they choose to major on, and asked women to be loving and have time for their children.
She also requested the mothers to establish a good working relationship with the new provincial mothers’ union president Grace Murengezi,
Miria Matemde, one of the devoted Christians in the diocese of Kampala encouraged women to know and be closer to God, after which she prayed for the country.
