President Yoweri Museveni has today officiated at the fourth youth business forum and expo where youth with several enterprises showcased their products.

President Museveni has challenged these youths to make use of science to address human needs. He pointed out needs like food, clothes, and health among others.

The president says these needs are in high demand across the globe and the global market has been opened to guarantee any participants in markets.

38% of youths aged between 18 to 38 are reported to be engaged in some form of enterprise, although the majority of these lack profitability.

This the youth legislators led by the chairperson parliamentary forum on youth affairs Phiona Nyamutoro say can only be changed if the youth are empowered to take charge of their businesses.

The legislators are now developing two legislations copyright bill and the graduate scheme bill which they believe will go a mile in empowering youth

They hope the president will offer the necessary to these bills.

President Museveni has now promised to have a special meeting with youth leaders to sort out the issue of funding.

Many youths are reportedly not able to access funds released through various government programs to help start-ups.
