Nakaseke District, Benefits Ahead Of Tarehe Sita

As part of the activities to mark the commemoration and celebration of the National Tarehe Sita day in Uganda, which is celebrated every 6th of February, UPDF officers have been urged to maintain discipline and hospitality among residents.

The Political Commissar for Kaweweta Recruit Training School Maj. Sam Emoit said the public trust is key for institutional growth of the UPDF.

He was conducting community engagements on 4 kilometer road that links Kinyogoga to Katugo in Nakaseke district.

UPDF soldiers from Kaweweta barracks have conducted communal activities in the areas of Kivuliya and Kinyogoga ranging from road maintenance, bush slashing and burning of wastes.

Soldiers carried gravels and marram to fill the potholes. Maj. Emoit the leader of delegation pointed out the reason behind their community involvement.

Political leaders from the region under their Umbrella of Greater Ngoma Development Foundation hailed the spirit exhibited by the UPDF saying that the road was in a worrying state.

Locals expressed their excitement over the road works saying that they have been struggling to ferry their produce.
