Namirembe Diocesan Leaders, Management Devote To Support New Bishop Elect
The top management leaders of St Paul Namirembe Diocese cathedral together with the communities have committed to collaborating with the new 6th Bishop-elect, Moses Banja in his term of office.
They have also thanked the successor of the retiring Bishop of Namirembe Diocese, Rt Rev Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira for the great work done during his time of service in the ministry.
This comes when Moses Banja will be consecrated and enthroned on December 10, 2023, at St Paul's Cathedral, Namirembe.
On Monday 20, November The House of bishops of the church of Uganda sitting at St. Stephen’s Cathedral Naluwerere in eastern Busoga diocese elected Ven. Canon Moses Banja as the 6th bishop of Namirembe diocese.
This makes him the sixth bishop of Namirembe Diocese replacing Right Reverend Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira, who will be retiring on December 8, 2023.
However, the house of bishops and leaders of Namirembe diocese are grateful to God for point pointing another faithful leader who will minister with love to the people.
They said ven. canon Moses Banja is a man who is hardworking, cooperative and trustworthy they believe he will manage the office and they are ready to work with him by all means.
As they are in preparation for the consecration of the bishop-elect, the committee management has pledged to support him financially and assist in any way in order to ease his duties without hardship.
