Namirembe Diocese Joins In The Fight Against Homosexuality

Namirembe diocese youth department has mentored the youth to fight against homosexuality. The youth camp held today at Bugiri youth retreat center this morning was attended by over 100 youths from different archdeaconries who were mentored to fight the looming vice of homosexuality.

Reverend Brenda Kiyaga, the chaplain of Luzira Secondary school urged the youth to be patient upon God's provision instead of engaging in homosexuality as an easy way of acquiring income.

Mukasa Ivan the youth vice chairperson at Namirembe diocese says that many church leaders are afraid of speaking against homosexuality thinking that it will instead promote the vice which is wrong and therefore urges the church to boldly fight the act.

Some of the youth who attended the camp, have been positively impacted in the fight against homosexuality. The camp was attended by youths of different age groups from within the diocese of Namirembe.
