
NEED Launched As Leader Calls For Equal Distribution Of Government Resources
An opposition political party, the National Economic Empowerment Dialogue has been officially launched at the party’s head office in Rubaga, a Kampala suburb.
During the launch, the party president, Joseph Kabuleeta, urged the Government to ensure that there is equitable distribution of national resources across the country.
Kabuleeta added that the NEED party emphasizes the economic well-being of the people through the fair sharing of the national cake or national resources.
While officially launching his political party, the National Economic Empowerment Dialogue (NEED), Joseph Kabuleeta condemned the diversion of iron sheets meant for the deprived Karamoja sub-region. He noted that each district should have an advisory leadership to oversee the activities of the government
Kabuleeta pledged that his political party is ready to cause change at the national level without engaging in activism politics
Kabuleeta, who did not provide concrete evidence, claimed that some opposition political parties are engaged in bribery to achieve some selfish interests. He pledged that the National Economic and Empowerment Dialogue was determined to fight for the right cause and cannot take that direction.
The People's United Movement Party which was first registered on 7th October 2005 later rebranded on 3rd October 2022 as the National Economic Empowerment Dialogue (NEED)
