Nyamwamba River Floods Again In Kasese

Residents in Bulembia division and Kilembe Sub County were today morning seen stranded after the Nyamwamba River bursts its banks leaving Kilembe-Kasese road being cuff.

These call for government intervention especially ever-lasting solutions for the flooding Nyamwamba River.

Residents in Bulembia division and Kilembe Sub County were yesterday seen stranded after the Nyamwamba River bursts its banks leaving Kilembe-Kasese road being cut off at the Recreation centre as very many business people failed to access Kasese town.

Richard Bomera the Chairperson LC3 for Bulembia division in Kasese municipality says by the time it started increasing the volumes immediately they informed the school children to leave the river banks.

Bomera further noted that the river had trapped the workers of Kilembe Mines Ltd but with the help of the police they were rescued. Residents call on the government to come up with an everlasting solution.

Lt. Joe Walusimbi the Resident District Commissioner for the Kasese district says they started noticing it yesterday via the alarms that were installed in the mounts
