One Behind Bars For Punching Police Officer
The Uganda Police Force has released a statement concerning a viral video that has been circulating on social media showing a one Kato John Ssenoga, an Auditor with SDS Company who was filmed assaulting a Police officer No. 51688 PC Mwine John Bosco.
It’s upon this background that KMP Spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango has condemned and appealed to the public to desist from attacking officers who are on lawful duties.
During this festive season, several clerics have continually condemned the attacks on security agencies, following a series of armed persons robbing and killing both police and UPDF soldiers.
In a rebel group linked attack, criminals on October 31 raided a police station in Luweero District and shot two police officers dead.
Another police officer had been gunned down on July 25 in the same district. Since then, such attacks have taken shape in the area of Mbale, Nakulabye, Kyabadaza and Gaddafi Military barracks in Jinja among others.
