Police Pro Enanga Tips Parents On Children’s Safety
The Spokesperson of the Uganda Police, Fred Enanga, has cautioned parents to ensure the safety of their children, especially during the school term.
Enanga, who addressed journalists at the Police headquarters in Naguru, said that the caution comes following the rising cases of kidnap among school-going children, especially in Kampala and neighboring areas like Mukono and Wakiso districts.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga urged parents to ensure that their children are safe as they go to and return home from school because some criminals are out there to harm them or kidnap the children and demand ransom.
On the general security situation in the country, Enanga said that there has not been any major incident in the week gone by. He also noted that the weeklong 73rd graduation ceremony at Makerere University was well-policed and all went well.
Meanwhile, Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy spokesperson of Kampala Metropolitan police, said that they have arrested one Dennis Kutesa an intern nurse at Entebbe General Hospital for allegedly trying to rape patients at the hospital.
