Police To Reward Shs.20m To Whistleblowers Who Crack Down Two Adf Suspects

Addressing media at police headquarters, police announced its placement of shs.20 million to be rewarded to individuals who help them identify and report two wanted ADF suspects: Amos Musa and Habib Sulaiman
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga said that they believed the two suspects were behind the two blasts that went off on Saturday and other strings of attacks within the central business district of Kampala

In a statement released by the deputy UPDF spokesperson, Col Deo Akiiki, the two improvised explosive devices that exploded in Kikubamutwe parish in Kabalagala and another in Nabweru, Nansana Municipality, were allegedly left at a veranda of a house on a busy street and brought in a bag by two young men yesterday in a house they hired for three months respectively.

Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga also said that the two: Amos Musa and Habib Sulaiman aka Kijana, were allegedly involved in string of attacks using improvised explosive devices (IEDs) within the central business district of Kampala and Butambala and, also other terror attacks along kasese Bundibugyo access with the DRC.
The forces have since released two photos of men suspected to have been behind the two blasts and police spokesperson, Fred Enanga announced the placement of a sh20 million bounty for whoever finds them.

He assured the public that the forces and the counter-terrorism teams are doing their best to curb these terror threats and suspected terrorists.

Enganga emphasized that although investigations into the matter continue, the general public is reminded to stay vigilant and security conscious as the festive season approaches.

As a caution to the business fraternity especially ahead of the festive season, a police spokesperson noted that they are working with business entities to monitor black spot areas where communities are more vulnerable to opportunistic crimes.

Meanwhile, the traffic police department has also provided road safety tips as movement is anticipated to intensify ahead of Christmas.
